Dog Sport

All working dog breeds, German Shepherd, Malinois, Bovier etc…, are tested for their temperament, drives and trainability. Teams are required to master several training disciplines that test their ability to connect seamlessly with their dogs as the canines execute multiple tasks.

Dog sport brings out the athlete in your dog and the expert trainer in you.  If you enjoy challenging dog-training activities, EASTWIND will guide you towards excellence.

The BH is a degree for companion dogs that tests the dog’s temperament around people. It includes basic formal obedience markers: heeling on-and off-leash, sits, downs, and recalls. The degree also includes practical tests of the dog’s character in everyday situations, such as crowds, strange noises, joggers, cars and other dogs. Eastwind will train and prepare your dog for the BH test according to the standards and ratings set by the German SV (Society for German Shepherd Dogs).

It is a challenging three-part sports event, including obedience, tracking and protection. It was originally designed as a breed selection test for the German Shepherd. The Eastwind Team has been actively involved in the sport on an international level for 10 years, and we have successfully participated in the following events:

EASTWIND has the expertise to train and prepare your dog to take the IGP levels 1,2 and 3.
Eastwind also offers coaching for individuals who would like to learn the sport and participate in it with their own dogs.
